I am totally obsessed with these trousers! I have so little reason to wear them at home but I’m determined to find one because they’re just AWESOME! Even in Las Vegas (the city of sequins) they attracted the odd (WHAT is she wearing look) so imagine how people would react here.. but I just don’t care. They’re lined so comfier than you would imagine but pretty heavy so there’s the constant risk of showing your pants..but again.. all worth it. This outfit also saw the first outing for two recent purchases I was really excited about, my Christian Louboutin Ron Rons which I bought in London in February and saved for the trip and my Rebecca Minkoff Love Crossbody. This was really difficult to track down so I ended up having it sent from Nordstrom to my hotel to be sure I’d get my hands on it while in the states (where it’s MUCH cheaper!) and it didn’t disappoint. It’s basically a total copy of the Chanel Boy bag but at a teeny fraction of the cost. Beautiful, soft leather and black hardware.. It’s love! I’ll do a full post on it when I’ve worn it for a while and can tell you how it holds up.. I’ve heard the black hardware chips so I’m nervous of that but we’ll see.
This evening we went to The Venetian to see Diana Ross in concert – she was AMAZING! – and more than any other hotel it struck me how bizarre it is to have such a luxurious setting broken up by the lights of slot machines and roar of gamblers. Obviously Casinos are what Vegas is all about but they feel really out of place in some hotels.
After the show we met up with Chris & Emma at The Linq right by the Flamingo and Emma and I couldn’t resist some photos in front of the iconic neon.. Just a quick glance around me gives you an idea of how overdressed I was but for me the beauty of Las Vegas is you can be whatever you want to be. There are people walking around at all hours in bikinis and others in evening gowns, it’s the strangest place in the world but lots of fun!
