Swatches below L-R – Bourjois Pot Shadow in 08 / Miners Solo Shadow in Stardust / e.l.f Studio Blush in Glow / e.l.f Baked Blush in Pinktastic / Beauty UK Baked Blush in Halo
Little did I know but highlights were top of your list when it came to what you wanted me to review.. huh! They’re probably the last thing I’d have though of but I guess that was the point of ‘TotalRequestAugust’ – to find out what you wanted to see rather than what I thought you wanted to see. I’ve really enjoyed the month of requested videos and I hope you have too but given that swatches are pretty important when it comes to this I thought I would follow up with a blog post for reference.. and of course for those of you who prefer to read rather than watch.
When I took a look in my ‘face drawer’ it wasn’t hard to pick my top 5 glow-getters to share with you and I’m happy to say they are all low cost and although my favourite is an online only from e.l.f there’s a good selection here that you can go out and buy right now (if you feel the need). My favourite is definitely Pinktastic from e.l.f, pretty much any baked blush in a light shade will do as a highlight if you’re in a jam but this is just beautiful..a close second is the Beauty UK version.. actually now I look at it none of these products are fit for purpose and yet they are absolutely amazing at the job. Isn’t is funny how you can find something brilliant outside of the category you’re actually shopping for? I suppose Glow from the e.l.f Studio Blush range is supposed to be a highlight but it also happens to be my least favourite.. hmm!
Anywho, hope you enjoyed seeing my top 5 sheen supremes and if you’d like to see a quick chatter about them you can watch the video below..
