#FREEDOMISCOMING

IMG_5351If you haven’t already seen my tweets then let me introduce you to a new makeup brand I think you’re going to love, Freedom. I’ve already had a few weeks with these products ahead of the official launch (in just a few days time) and I’ve been dying to tell you about some of them.. I have some firm favourites already but that’s for another post. Freedom is the brainchild of the team behind Makeup Revolution (and we all love that, don’t we?) so imagine my excitement when a box of all new goodies landed on my doorstep including jewel toned eyeshadows, candy coloured blushes and concealer palettes in possibly the best colour range I’ve ever seen, regardless of cost. The brand has a distinctly professional feel to it compared to it’s predecessor and was designed with makeup artists in mind. Whether you’re adding to your kit, starting out or just looking to experiment (me) Freedom has something for you. It’s Mac for the masses, sleek packaging, huge variety of colours but much kinder on your wallet!

IMG_5336IMG_5354IMG_5330IMG_5342IMG_5353IMG_5356IMG_5349IMG_5352IMG_5334When they launch later this week I’ll be sharing some of my initial favourites and in the coming months I will be coming to you with exclusives as they release new products so expect to hear much more about the brand from me. In the meantime you can subscribe to their YouTube channel (where I will also be creating some videos showcasing the new range) and sign up to their mailing list so as not to miss a thing when the line is officially on sale! Oh and you can check out the #FREEDOMISCOMING hashtag for more product previews!

*I am working with Freedom to provide independent (HONEST) reviews of their new range. They understand the value of bloggers when we’re looking to buy beauty products and moreover the value of my true opinion to my readers! I will not be paid for my reviews but Freedom have offered me the chance to preview the range ahead of launch.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer but I personally dislike the Make Up Revolution ethos which seems to be to copy exactly competitors products. When I scanned down the photos in your post I knew instantly this was going to be from Make Up Revolution because I scrolled and thought ‘copy of a Too Faced product, copy of a MAC product, copy of a NARS product’ etc.

Don’t get me wrong, I know not everyone has the budget or desire to buy high end make up, and there are brilliant drugstore brands and products-my issue is with this company constantly ripping off the designs of others. They need to show some originality. I have never tried a make up revolution product-I live in Dubai and it’s not sold here-but if their products are good why don’t they have the originality to back it up?

No I totally understand where you’re coming from. It’s tough to entirely dupe MAC packaging since it’s so plain but I think that’s what they’re trying to get back to with this new range. Basic, professional looking products that everyone can afford. As far as copying other brands this goes on all the time but these guys are totally open about it, YSL did a leopard print blush years before Too Faced but nobody cares about that. There are big companies who own several brand and repackage identical products and sell them as different price points but again it’s not obvious/common knowledge so it’s under the radar.

I don’t love EVERYTHING from either of these brands and I agree it’s nice to see originality but they have that in spades alongside the due ‘highlights’ you’ve seen. I have some very expensive makeup that I love but there is NO WAY it’s worth what I paid for it.. certain brands put a premium on items just for the sake of it so I think it’s great that there are other alternatives for those not in a position to buy higher end items.

    Exactly what Stacey said.
I won’t buy from MUA with their Urban Decay and Essie rip offs or Makeup Revolution for their straight Urban Decay palette rip offs. I mean they go as far as to copy the complete order and layout of the palettes. I just think its wrong. Their products are probably ok, but I think they should sell their products on their merits, not because they’re as close to a Naked palette you can get for under £5.
This new brand is exactly the same with the Nars embossing on eyeshadows and I think the Too Faced?? leopard print powders.

This is a whinge at their morals, not your blog, completely see that their products suit your budget theme. Its just not for me and i think there are plenty of other brands doing budget products well without copying. I will chose to buy them. But i generally seem to be in the minority when it comes to thinking this kind of thing is wrong.

Unfortunately that’s the industry, even within high end brand there are dupes and everyone always wants bigger and better for less and less. Fortunately there are plenty of brands out there to choose from so as a consumer if you don’t like one for any reason it’s no great shakes.

Am really excited for these! Always love some great dupes. I kinda agree with Petra about how it is wrong to copy other products..but it won’t stop me from trying out these products. Sometimes the dupes can be better than the originals. x

I just dont see why brands cant be know for doing their own thing well, instead of running off the hashtag macforthemasses. It isnt MAC/Nars or any other brand. Just a cheap knock off. I’d sooner buy Collection 2000 or Rimmel who are confisent in their own brand identity.

They can but let’s face it people want dupes of these higher end items so why not become the first choice for those?
