I love a good style book and there are few launches that pass by without me picking them up so I was excited to be contacted about this one. I remember Louise Roe from UK TV, she did some kind of makeover show I used to watch and I always loved her sense of style so it’s no surprise that I am thoroughly enjoying her book!
She covers everything from finding your style to choosing the ‘right’ diamonds to styling your loo.. there is quite literally something for everyone here! One of my favourite sections is about dressing for the body you have right now rather than the one you had or the one you’re working towards. She talks about finding what suits your shape, finding flattering silhouettes and just generally embracing your body. I’ve read a lot of books like this written from one perspective by someone who knows what suits them but that’s is. Louise is a stylist, she knows what suits which shape and her advice is solid. Front Roe is jam packed with helpful tips to style every aspect of your life and although I haven’t read it cover to cover just yet I’m picking out chapters as and when they feel most relevant and finding myself wanting to tear up my carpets (already happened) and reorganise my wardrobe (that’s this weekend). It’s a little posh in places, I’m still waiting for a good Northern girl equivalent but if you can look past that I think you’ll really like it!
