I have to say I hadn’t heard of this launch until Garnier contacted me.. I haven’t seen much about it on the blogs etc but I was invited down to have my hair did by a pro using their products and I was really impressed. Their dry shampoo is next on my hit list once my current can is out, it created some serious volume in Laura’s hair that I am going to HAVE to try and recreate at home. The product they sent us home with was the oil, I’ve used it for a couple of weeks now so I can give it a good idea of whether it’s worth a try.
The scents are amazing, I love that there are multiple options. Most brands bring out one oil but they have different formulas for different hair types/issues. I am particularly fond of the coconut version, not only because it smells delicious but it really hydrates my dry, bleached ends. You can definitely overdo it with this one though so I tend to use a tiny amount it towel dried hair.. it’s definitely more oil than serum in texture.
The Marvellous Glow Oil is great for adding shine, it has a built in heat protectant so again I use it in towel dried hair before blasting it or straightening (hardly ever, haha) and this one also has a UV filter to protect your colour. Again a lovely scent but the coconut totally has me on smell.. this is still nice though.
So we went down to have our hair done and we knew we were going to see The Saturdays, they’re the new Ultimate Blends ambassadors so it was a cross promotion but we DIDN’T know we would get to MEET them! I took Ella, she’d never been to a concert before so she was excited but borderline mortified in this photo, haha. I think she was hella embarrassed but the girls were absolutely lovely and the show was AMAZING! I’ve always enjoyed their music on the radio (oh god that sounds ancient doesn’t it.. on the wireless) but I’ve since bough their greatest hits and am driving my husband mad with it. An amazing experience I’m so glad I got to share with Ella.
