Girl In The Tartan Scarf

19Credit to the ACTUAL Girl In The Tartan Scarf for the title, I just couldn’t think of a more apt one. Check her blog out here – she’s awesome, you’ll love her. She’s also on YouTube – Just Sayin’

*What I’m Wearing*

Dress – Topshop / Tights – Pretty Polly / Cardigan – Zara / Boots – H&M / Scarf – Primark / Bag – Alexander Wang

This dress isn’t the most flattering, I’m not sure if it’s the cut or the material but something about it definitely adds inches but it’s so comfy and easy to wear that it’s become a work staple. I love a dress like this for work at this time of year, throw it on over a pair of tights with some boots and it’s smart yet casual and most importantly WARM. The scarf was from Primark – I want to say last year but it might have even been the year before – it’s the one EVERYONE was after and people were selling for inflated rates on eBay once they sold out so I was very pleased to find one in my local store. It’s not as large as I’d like, I prefer a voluminous scarf I can wrap around a few times but the pattern is lovely and I’ve had so much use from it I can’t really complain. The cardigan is one of those items that I’ve never been 100% about, I keep it because I have nothing else in this colour but the fit isn’t the nicest and it’s scratchy so unless I’m wearing something long sleeved (which this dress happens to be) it can be quite uncomfortable. I’m looking to replace it with something similar so any suggestions are welcome.

Aww, cute scarf! I’ve been loving tartan scarves for this Autumn/Winter. They are everywhere in the shops and I’m dying to pick up a new one. For now, I’m sticking with the huge, blanket style scarf I picked up in Zara last season. It’s amazingly soft! Love that you’ve matched your lippie to your scarf too… nice touch!! xxx
