Girls Gone Wild.. for a few hours in London

IMG_8511

I recently spent the afternoon with my friend Caz in our very favourite place, Covent Garden. We were in London for an event in the evening but had a spare couple of hours to window shop and get some lunch at the same bar we go to EVERY time we’re there, Maxwells – creatures of habit. We took a little look around Kate Spade and I was so impressed by our restraint (they have the CUTEST jewellery) that I did splurge a little in MAC – you may have noticed some sneaky new additions in last weeks posts. We go very lost looking for our final destination but happened upon the world famous (thanks to The Muffin Man) Drury Lane before finally finding a tube station that could take us directly to the event. It was the launch of Tarte in the UK.. very exciting stuff and we got to talk to the lovely people from QVC who will be hosting the brand exclusively in it’s initial retail stage. We were at Sushi Samba in The Heron Tower (which by the way is pretty terrifying as the glass lift travels the side of the building so if you have even mild vertigo, don’t even think about it) which was very cool, I love events for things like that as under normal circumstances I would likely never go there.. I’m so not cool enough for a bar with a tree in the middle of it.. it was an experience though and the view was incredible. The (very late and tired) train home was filled with makeup chatter and M&S sandwiches as well as forced viewing of 30 Rock on my iPad (I really want someone else I know to watch it so we can talk about it but it doesn’t seem to be their ‘thing’) and a swift drive home to bed. A very long day but an awesome time, in awesome company in an awesome town.. we’ll be back again for IMATS.. can’t wait!
