Glossier Balm Dot Com in Cherry #30lipsin30days

I’ve got the whole set of these Glossier Balm Dot Coms and fragrance wise this is my favourite by far. Sweety and tangy with a subtle tint – perfect! Well.. almost perfect. Unfortunately when you need this balm most is when it will fail you. It’s hydrating but the tint smears and wears unevenly on less than perfect lips. It was my handbag staple and now it’s been relegated to my night stand.

I love the Glossier balms but they are over priced and over hyped for what they are. My current favourite is the classic Burts Bees mint scented (flavoured?) balm. It’s basic but it works. I’m also super tempted by that new Khiels Butter Masque to treat my drier than dry lips as we come to the end of the lipstick wearing month. What is your current favourite lip treatment?

I find tinted balms go uneven on me when my lips are dry (because they’re driest around the edge, it looks like I’ve gone for statement liner). Maybe they’re best used before lips go dry…

I think the ordinary does a similar lipbalm without the petroleum jelly. It’s a lot cheaper.

You just can’t beat Nivea Lip Butter. They seem to come in two slightly different formulas; a creamier one and a clear one (I’ve got through many pots of it!). The clear one is great but the creamier version in raspberry, blueberry or my current favourite, coconut, is the most moisturising thing I’ve found for my lips. Thanks seems to moisturise into my lips rather than just sitting on top of you get what I mean. And it’s super thrifty! Not really tinted though…
