Going For Gold

I’ve had this palette for a couple of weeks so apologies for not sharing it with you sooner but today seemed like the day to show you the goods. It’s MUA’s Olympic themed eyeshadow palette, 20 shades inspired by the bronze silver and gold medals athletes will be competing for this coming fortnight. I’ve seen a fair few looks created with this kit already and all of them were beautiful but out of the 10 shadows there are just a couple I would wear and the amount of glitter in the sheer formula’s in way too much for me. I understand that MUA wanted to do something themed for the occasion but given that this was launched at the same time as the Undressed palette which is beyond amazing for quality and depth of colour this really just pales in comparison. I’d be interested to hear from any of you that have this and love it, it’s a nice addition to an existing collection but I can’t see anyone taking this away with them as their only eyeshadow options, is it just me?

I do like this palette but I don’t Love it! I Love the Undressed one though completely! I don’t see all the colours suiting everyone in this palette, I’ve only used a few of these, The golds mainly and that was only for a shimmer in the corner part of my eyes not the rest of my lid… I like the fact the pans are square which gives the illusions of more product but in fact there’s 2 missing from the usual 12 that you get in the other palette collections (apart from the Immaculate collection which is 24)so my final conclusion is Yes its a lovely palette but not exciting enough for me personally x

agreed! very nice but they’ve done nicer and not all the shades are so useable in my opinion

I like the style of the pallette even though there are less shades.. however the colours put me off even bothering to buy it.. if im going to create a bold look then it would be with colour and smokeyness not with bombardment of glitter.. which says a lot from a girl who prefers shimmer shades to matte..

exactly! I get that they were going for an olympic theme but this is just rubbish for me, the colour selection is so like nothing I’d use
