Guest Post: My Sunday FOTD

Todays guest blogger is Avia from TheSparkleicious sharing her Sunday face..

It may just be me and my glamorous life, but most of my Sundays are spent catching up with house work, food shopping, going out for lunch and just generally chilling, and I like my makeup to be as natural and low-key as possible….and I usually need to make myself look a little more well-rested after a late night on Saturday. (We have all been there!)
So to achieve this look I relay on as few products as possible, which for me is key when it comes to looking fresh faced. Generally speaking, the  better your skin looks, the better your makeup looks so I make sure my face is clean and moisturised, and then start applying MAC face & body foundation (in shade c4) with my beloved real techniques buffing brush. This gives the nicest, sheerest, most skin-like finish you could possibly imagine, I love it!  Then it’s time to cover those under-eye bags! For this I use a tiny (and I mean tiny, use more and your asking for creasing!) amount of Laura Mercier secret Concealer (shade 3) on the darkest part of my under-eye area, Then a small amount of the Collection (still feels weird not putting a 2000 before that!) lasting perfection concealer goes over the top, and my under-eye bags are gone! To finish off the skin I just apply a small amount of the Rimmel stay Matte powder to set it all and keep me shine-free.

No matter how “Off-duty” the look I’m going for is, I can’t not do my brows so they get lightly filled in with the essence eyebrow stylist kit in the dark brown shade, and then set with the Shevata brow tamer (LOVE this!). Then for eyes, I feel like the less you wear in terms of eye makeup the better if you’re looking a little worse for wear so I have just been using one shade (shock horror, I know) all over my lids. This one by No7 is called innocence and is just a matte, cream shade that brightens the lid. Then I apply one coat on mascara on my top lashes only (again, this looks more natural), I have been using the Collection skylash mascara as it gives a very natural, bushy finish.
Last but not least, for checks and lips I love nothing more than a cream blush and tinted lip balm. I love using the MUA check tint in rose riot on the apples of my cheeks, and the Maybelline babylips in shade cherry to finish off the look.
So there you have it, my go-to fresh faced Sunday look, what are your go-to products for a fresh, natural look?

I love this look. Very minimal, but very pretty and flattering lately I’ve been trying to wear less product and this is the look I want to achieve. Fresh and beautiful. 🙂

Love this look, very minimal and still lovely! I just use a powder and some mascara when I’m wanting a natural look, most of the time I just can’t be bothered haha!

Love your blog! Was just wondering if you could give me some tips on budget brows? I have naturally dark hair but my eyebrows are ridiculously fair and practically invisible. I’ve tried a few pencils before but I’m not sure that was for me :/ any tips would be great!!

Buy one lighter than your hair, that’s where a lot of people go wrong, a very dark brown can be too harsh on your brows, I’d recommend Rimmel for their brunette shades and just go lightly x

LOVE this look! Very minimal and natural and I’m loving that cheek tint! Might have to go out and get some for myself, perfect for autumn!
