Hemp Hand Protector – Not Just For Hands!

When this arrived I was sure I’d had it before but it’s all coming back to me now. My Grandma used to buy it and I would pinch it when I stayed over, it’s the thickest hand cream I’ve ever used and so effective at softening my dry winter hands I can’t believe I have been living without it for so long. You get 100ml of product which may not sound like a lot for £10 but a little goes a very long way and it’s the best muli-tasker I have on hand (get it) right now. First of all how anyone could try this and not immediately think FEET is beyond me, I know you can purchase a separate foot protector but in my opinion this does double duty. I am currently typing ever so lightly as my hands are covered in the stuff and my sock clad feet have been soaking it in since this morning’s shower. I also used it on my legs and arms which are also suffering at the hands of the dreaded winter dryness and last but not least… I’ve used it on my hair! I can put a little in the ends when it’s dry or a lot overnight as a treat and I swear.. it’s a little bit magic! In a very short space of time this has become an absolute essential for me and if you’re travelling there’s nothing that will serve you better and in more ways. Of course The Body Shop offer many Hemp products to fit various needs but if you’re looking to try just one thing this Winter.. make it this! I am a bit excited about this moisturising wash, however as it’s the only thing I can’t use the balm for and it’s in the sale.. ooohhh aaahhh!

Here’s an indication of the difference it made to my cuticles. I haven’t posted either of these nail swatches yet but since I’ve been reapplying every day they were starting to look gross and after only one night with my hands slathered in the Hemp balm I think you’ll agree it’s a noticeable improvement.

For those that watched/read my Winter Skin Savers post I’d like to update you, I previously noted the Soap & Glory Heel Genius as a Winter must-have but you may recall my issue with it’s sticky nature. It’s not made for massaging and when I treat my feet quite often I enlist the help of my husband. The problems I have with Heel Genius are completely resolved with this balm (and balm really is the best description) as it’s not too tacky to rub in due the hemp seed oil and beeswax which will run for days without developing the irritating roly bits. It’s pretty much perfect.

Hemp Hand Protector is available from The Body Shop online here for £10.00

I actually bought my Mum the Hemp gift set last year, I’m not sure that they have the same one this year but you can already browse their Christmas section here.. I know I’m not the only one that wants their shopping done by 1st December!

This stuff is amazing! It is so good!

Although one thing I have learnt about it…do not wear it around horses! My girl cannot help but lick your hands when you have it on! Definitely an evening item!

I love the smell of this. It’s worth checking for this online because they regularly sell it off for £5 for the 100ml – I don’t think I’ve ever paid full price for it. I find it slightly irritating that they never do the half-price sale in store however.

I bought this when there was an online offer for 50% off and I love it. I’m nearly out though as my husband keeps using it as well. I never thought I would find anything I liked better than Avon’s Rich Moisture Glycerin Hand cream but this is soooo much better. I use it every night before bed.

it’s something I thought I’d hate at first ’cause it was so stricky but it absorbs really well and doesn’t leave a residue

I bought it last year after somebody recommended it to me. I had been having dry hands for as long as I can remember. This is really a godsend. Thanks for the post because little silly me would have never thought of applying it on her dry heels. D’oh 😉

I bought this in a set for my boyfriend as hes a hairdresser (it came with a lip protector, moisture balm in a tin and this) i personally cant stand the smell but ive been using the balm version on our toddlers nose because of his cold and its made a really big difference,i think i might deal with the smell and steal it of him. Thanks for the pictures of your cuticles-shows a massive improvement 🙂

I have had very sore Eczema on my right middle finger and it has spread slightly across my hand. I have had 3 different steroid creams from the doctors which hasn’t helped at all.
A friend recommended the Hemp Hand Protector and after a few hours it had improved the look of my angry eczema. I think this stuff is amazing!!
I really should do a blogpost on it too.
    xx

I love this product too ~ It is brilliant to sooth burnt skin. And I use it on my dry feet all the time. I was actually looking other blogs re;cleaning my leather sandals and they suggested using hand cream after you clean them. Should I dare? I don’t know. Think I will leave it… Thanks X
