How Do You Read Yours?

First and foremost the picture about is 18 months old, not to confuse you will a totally different layout/platform of missbudgetbeauty but when I see my old design it does make me a touch nostaligic. But anyway, that’s not what this is about but it does have some relevance. Since moving from Blogger to WordPress in the July and losing Google Friend Connect/GFC I’ve been looking in to the various ways you can follow a non-blogger blog. I had previously neglected sites like Blog Lovin’ through pure laziness but now I rely on them to remind those of you who wish to be reminded that I am still here. SO.. for those of you who are still reading, here are 4 ways you can keep up with my beauty posts, videos and general ramblings…

How do you follow your favourite blogs?

I follow using Bloglovin, Hello Cotton and Twitter. I’m not on GFC either so it’s hard to follow the majority of blogs 🙁 really annoys me when people say “oh I only follow blogspot blogs” as I think that if you do like a blog you’ll find someway to follow it – regardless of platform!

To be honest when i blogged from blog spot I was the same but since moving I actually read a lot from Blog Lovin’!

I usually just go down my list of bookmarks of bolgs everyday, not a fan of those other platforms to follow them (although i do have a bloglovin account).

I used to hate blog lovin’ but now I use it all the time. I use the app on my phone more often and it’s just easier

I follow all blogs with bloglovin now since GFC stopped on the WordPress blogs. It doesnt help though that people’s giveaways nearly always state you should follow through GFC.

as do I! and the thing with GFC is when you’re starting out as a blogger a lot of PR companies use it as a measure of your audience. They don’t care about your site stats or your blog lovin readers just GFC. I think that’s changed now but like I said a couple of years ago when I was a newbie blogger it was all about that and I think there are some bloggers that can’t get out of that mentality.

I am on WordPress too & often feel a little left of os all the GFC crew but hey like you say there are other platforms to follow through. I just wish other people would remember that too.
    I follow you through Bloglovin.

I started out on blogspot and when I moved over I felt like I’d lost a limb GFC wise but within a month my traffic was back up to the same level and it’s gone from strength to strength. Although we can’t use the google platform to be followed the SEO benefits alone are worth moving to WordPress and since I did I now don’t care who or how many follow me were or how. I have X amount on Bloglovin, X on Hello Cotton, She Said Beauty etc, once upon a time I would want to see one big number somewhere but now I realise it’s more about finding the easiest way for the reader to keep up with my posts not keeping score!

I use bloglovin and some emailsubscriptions.

    GFC is my main.

But I follow WordPress blogs and the like via Blog Lovin’. I’m really bad at reading my blog lovin’ emails though and I tend to only do that off my phone.

So I don’t lose track of my favorite blogs on my laptop I just “add them to my reading list” so it shows up on blogger!

And aw at your blogger blog! I do love this one much better though 🙂

I have a bloglovin account, but I don’t find it easy to use. Am I the only one?
I prefer FeedlerRSS, it is to the point, and make things very easy and clear
