January Blue

Muppets OPI Miss Piggys Big NumberI mentioned in my NYE Nails post that I bought a duo on mega sale from TK Maxx from the Muppets for OPI collection.. this is the second of the two, Miss Piggy’s Big Number. When I showed this in a haul video I was warned it was thin and unforgiving, that it would show every brush mark but I didn’t actually find it to be that bad. It did take a few coats to get a good opaque colour but I thought the finish was nice and the best thing was how long it lasted. This is probably because it IS a little thinner, generally a few thin coats last longer than one thick one so that’s likely the reason but whatever.. it lasted nearly a week! If this was my first impression of OPI I’d be majorly impressed, as it is I know the brand to be hit and miss and often not really worth the extra cash but if you can get a good deal (Nail Polish Direct is my favourite place to buy OPI & China Glaze) then it’s worth a couple of extra pounds for the huge shade selection alone. I always top with Seche Vite which gives the glossy finish and helps prolong wear but alone this was pretty darn good!

i always buy opi on Sephora when on sale, here in Italy they usually cost 13Euros a piece and on sale you can buy them for 6! As for the full price…i always try to buy the sets with 4 or 5 minis, i find those are fun to try more new colors without spending too much, and if a polish is not so good, it’s just a mini!
