John Frieda – Full Repair – Shampoo & Conditioner

6 September, 2012

I love John Freida and was in two minds whether to review these or not for that reason but in the interest of offering my honest opinion on all products that I use I decided I would. They’re not great. They’re not bad, don’t get me wrong, they’re nice they just didn’t seem to do anything other than wash and condition my hair. As with a lot of my not so positive reviews I often think it’s a matter of expectations rather than effectiveness. When a range is branded ‘Full Repair’ you assume it will go some way to improving the condition or appearance of your hair but for me this didn’t stand out as any better than any regular shampoo and conditioner so overall.. a bit of a disappointment. I’m loving the styling products that John Freida launched with the Full Repair range but so far the bath side essentials are just not doing it for me.

Available here for £5.89 each

Love your reviews, but just to put the other side of the coin forward, I have extremely long, dry and unmanageable hair and found this shampoo and conditioner a lifesaver – I thought my only option was going to be a drastic cut before I discovered them! So I’d say they’re definitely worth a try if you’re struggling with the condition of your hair x

It’s quite possible that because I only started using these AFTER a drastic cut I just didn’t see the benefit! I’ve thought that often about repaire style products.. maybe my hair isn’t damaged enough!

Ah well, that’s not such a bad problem to have I guess!

Love your reviews! Have to say I was unexpectedly impressed with the volume these gave my hair. Much prefer them to the John Frieda volumising shampoo+conditioner.

thank you! and I wouldn’t have expected that.. the volume mousse in the range is awesome thought and I’m not a mousse fan at all!

I also have to agree that it worked wonders on my hair too. I have long bleached damaged hair and this was a real life-saver. It left my hair soft and manageable as opposed to it’s usual dry frizzy self. Your hair seems in such good condition at the mo that I think this product is probably not suited to you. I also noticed the volumising properties too.
