Keepin’ It Sleek

IMG_2499The heat and the humidity will soon be over but that doesn’t mean I will be reaching for my creams and serums any less often. Rain, wind and central heating are perhaps even worse for my hair so I’ll likely need them more than ever.

Dove Style & Care Frizz-Free Shine Cream Serum

This might be the best smelling of the bunch, I LOVE the scent of Dove hair care and as this is a leave in treat it lingers throughout the day – yum! Probably the thickest formula too.. one I tend to use more on wet hair and sparingly as a finishing cream on dry hair.

Tresemme Platinum Strength Stay Soft Leave In Conditioner

Now this line claims to reverse damage done to your hair which I don’t believe for a moment however it’s a nice idea isn’t it? This is more of a leave in conditioner so I can apply this more liberally in wet hair and tend to avoid it in dry. This is the one I worry least about overdoing it with. Very light and easily absorbed.

Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery Serum*

I use this one more as a styling product than a treatment/conditioner. You CAN use it in wet hair but I tend to reach for this more to smooth freshly blown out hair or define my natural wave or heat styled curls to give them some shine and minimise frizz. Another one that wont leave your hair looking greasy.

So they are my top 3.. and trust me not only have I TRIED a lot of them but I still HAVE a lot of them so I really did have my pick and these are the ones I would truly recommend. My hair is fairly normal, not thin, not massively thick, it’s damaged but not particularly coarse or unmanageable. I do however have a lot of natural texture so if i want to stay sleek or make my waves look less bedhead and more ‘I did this on purpose’ these are my favourites!

My hair never used to be frizzy but over the last few weeks this frizz has come from nowhere and it’s driving me insane! I look like a wild woman if I try and put my hair up a day after washing!
