Kerastase Nutritive

IMG_2812I was SO excited to try these, Kerastase has been a brand on my ‘to try’ list for some time but since it’s expensive I never actually bit the bullet and made a purchase. I received these (luxury) sample sizes in last months Look Fantastic Beauty Box and was so happy to give them a go BUT.. huge disappointment. The range is designed for dry hair so I expected a more nourishing formula and the shampoo seriously felt like shower gel. Nothing special AT ALL.. if anything it was worse than most I’ve tried. The conditioner was nicer but again I have tried so many I’ve preferred which are considerably cheaper. I intended to take before and after photos expecting this to be absolutely amazing but unfortunately.. really, really not.

Have you tried anything from Kerastase that you’d recommend?

I tried the new Dove hair care line this week, I’d really recommend the dry oil shampoo & condition they do – SO good!

I came to try these through the Look Fantastic box too and my impressions are the same as yours. I’ll use them up but not impressed and it’s put me off wanting to buy anything from the brand in case it’s a waste of money :-/

So glad to have read this review! I’ve been meaning to try Kerastase for like 2 years, but I’m always put off after paying ¬£5+ for other disappointing shampoos. Won’t be buying this then!

I worked in a Kerastase salon for the past two summers and I have been so impressed with the results of the shampoos and conditioners I’ve been using. I’d never used it before – I’d looked at the price tag and had been put off. That was until I saw it in action on clients’ hair.
I’ve used the Nutritive range above and it made my hair feel like hair again, rather than straw. I’ve also used the Chroma Captive shampoo and conditioner for colour-treated hair and I loved that even more.

Without a doubt, I think Kerastase is worth every penny!x

Ah what a disappointment! I’ve always wanted to try the brand but haven’t because of price and I definitely won’t bother now.

Oh what a pity! I also recommend the Dove Oil set – it is so great on my thick, dry hair!

None of the L’oreal shampoos and conditioners do anything for me. When I want luxury, I use the Pureology Hydrate line – a-maz-ing !! And it smells like spearmint – cannot recommend it enough, although because of the price I tend to buy when Feel Unique have them on sale. That being said they last aaaaages and I find I can go longer between washes.

That’s unfortunate that you didn’t like the shampoo and conditioner you got. I love Kerastase. I’m currently using Bain de Force (the green line) and it’s lovely. Whenever I swap it for cheaper shampoo my hair goes bad. So I keep going back to it. To me, Kerastase is worth every penny. x

I love kerastase products! The oil is better than morrocan oil. The oleo relax mask is amazing but because of the high price I only use it for special occasions.
