I actually got this sample with the dark spot corrector I bought and given the BB hype I was excited to try it. The coverage is light to medium and the finish is dewy.. the consistency reminds me of the original Garnier only perhaps a smidge thinner. The colour is at least a couple of shades too dark which is unfortunate given that this is the lightest they offer so unless I was tanning (self tanner only for me) this would be no good for me me even if I loved it.
The reason I don’t love it is the scent. The wear time is good, the finish is not perfect for my oily skin but in Winter it would be okay with a good powder but the scent I just can’t get over. It smells so strong, I can’t describe what of exactly but it reminds me of the Estee Lauder foundation my Mum used to wear. I don’t mind a fruity, sweet smell but I don’t like makeup to smell of makeup.. does that sound mad?
A great benefit of this BB cream is that it has SPF50.. amazing for a base and the only real issue is down to personal preference so providing you can get a colour match there’s nothing wrong with it at all – other than the price of course.. for £23.50 I would want a full foundation but again that’s just me.

definitely out of my budget for a BB cream but samples are always fun to try out 🙂

I have also had problems with the smell from this BB-cream. I think that it is the sunscreen in it, that gives it its awfull smell. I find that it lingers 🙁
Well, good thing that you were able to use only the trial pack. I think many have already complained about this BB cream’s awful and overpowering scent. >.<
Just like you, I would just choose a full foundation rather than an expensive BB cream.

yeah I would have been disappointed had I bought it
