Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution

IMG_6627

I’m coming to the end of this bottle of serum and think I’m just about ready to give my final verdict. I wouldn’t usually spend this much on skincare but I have hyper pigmentation that developed during my second pregnancy that gets worse in the summer (darn sun) and by the end of it I was so irritated with the discolouration that I was willing to part with the cash. I’d heard only good things about it so had high hoped but unfortunately it didn’t do for me what I wanted it to. That being said I’m not convinced anything can, I’ve done a lot of research since I bought this and it would seem that the marks I suffer with are not something that can be faded away quite so easily, they are something I may potentially need to see a dermatologist about so I can’t hold that against this product. I will say that the acne scarring I have definitely improved within just a few weeks of using the solution and I think that’s why people like it. It’s also as gentle exfoliant and made my skin super smooth when I initially started using this however there are serums that I’ve used that have made my skin feel better. I’m currently in love with the Skin Perfection from L’Oreal which is just out of this world if you want velvety, plump, hydrated skin, I also think that’s going a way to fade scarring etc so although I think the Kiehls is good it’s not worth the money for me.

Available online here for £36

Have you tried this? What are your thoughts?

On my dark spots I find using alpha h liquid gold 3 or 4 nights a week and in between I use origins night a mins moisturiser. This is helping but slowly
Sometimes I exfoliate with a facial loofah in the morning as well.

I’m constantly on the hunt for a spot fader. My skin has finally started to clear up for the most part… but, I still feel like my face can’t go commando when it’s got splotches all over it. So far the Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum has been the best. It’s expensive, but a little goes a long way – I actually only had a sample but because of how long it lasted, I’m thinking I might splurge and get the full size.
