Kim’s Kardazzle

And now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for.. okay maybe not all but some of  you were excited, right? The Kim Kardashian endorsed makeup palette which in theory should help you create a Kim K-esque smokey eye and sculpted cheek. Although I prefer the colour range in the Kourtney and Khloe Kardazzles I can see why this will appeal to a broader audience and the pigmentation of the shadows is far improved from what I can tell. I’m not sure if that’s purely because the shades are deeper or they have put just a sprinkle of extra effort in to what will be the obvious favourite but it does seem a little nicer than the others.

The 4 matte shades (top) all have very nice payoff as do the metallics but where in the Kourtney palette I had no fallout whatsoever I can see that being an issue here at very least with the black which has flecks of glitter running through it – dead ringer for Oil Slick by Urban Decay. Fall out aside however just look at that black.. there are some high end brands that struggle to get a deep black but they’ve nailed this one if you ask me. When I first opened it up I was put off by the blue shades but they really aren’t too daunting at all once swatched and the matte blue reminds me a lot of Plumage by MAC which I do wear occasionally.

The Blush/Bronzer/Highlight here are all shades i might choose for myself individually. The pink is a little out there but used sparingly over the bronzer with a little sheen of highlight mixed in I think I could create something pretty that wasn’t too ‘much’ for me. The formula is much the same as in the Kourtney kit,  great pay off but a light hand is needed to ensure you don’t go overboard.

Overall the matte eyeshadows are much more impressive here than in the other palette I tried from the range and I prefer the cheek colours too. I didn’t expect to like this one but I think it’s more versatille than it initially appears. When I look at a kit like this I want it to have everything I need to eliminate carrying several palettes of shadows/blush and when you consider that the highlight/bronzer shades could multitask for eyes along with some of the lighter shadows I think this could work for me but you can expect a video/post on that soon. Let’s see just how versatile this can be!

I much prefer the overall colours in this one than the others, I think your right that they expected this to be most popular.

hi khila.. i’ve just ordered the khloe set and i’m so looking forward to receiving it! and this is a little off topic, but i know you’ve had trouble finding cream blushes that you like and i’ve recently bought one and it’s brilliant. REVLON Photoready cream blush in Coral Reef.. it’s beautiful and not sticky in texture at all! a lovely cream-to-powder formulation 🙂
