I thought that since it's Valentines Day I would share one of my recent(ish) lip purchases which would stand the test of many a make out session. Now I personally am not a love of lipstick when it comes to kisses but if you likely to get caught out and are looking for something smudge proof, look no further! YSL Glossy Stains are the one expensive lip product that I really think are worth the cash. Yes L'Oreal do their own version and yes they are technically the same company but they're just not the same. The L'Oreal are good when they're good but I have 5 or 6 and most of them aren't. With the YSL you're paying for consistency, they all work in the same way.. the only issue is colour. The colour you swatch in store dries to a totally different colour on your lips so it's a gamble every time but iif you do your research (google images/blog reviews) you can fairly safely purchase a colour you'll like.
Now after what I said about consistency this one is actually sheerer than others I have, it's buildable but I find it doesn't wear as evenly is you layer it too much. One layer gives you the colour shown above and will last hours, even through eating and drinking. At £25 a pop I'm not suggesting you need a huge variety of these but it's nice to have a bold lip colour that you know will stay put for those times when you wont have time/it's not appropriate to check and reapply every half an hour - a date for example!
