Lavender Hair Using Toner

IMG_2407 copyI know I have beaten you over the head with my love of Lee Stafford Bleach Blonde haircare range but I just love it so much. I noticed a while ago that it was leaving a subtle pink tone to my hair rather than the blue I’ve come to expect from blonde shampoos.. it was only a hint but it had me wondering how bold it could be if I left it on a little longer. I did this a week ago and in that time I’ve tried two different methods with identical results..

1. I used the Hot Shots – link – which are basically a self heating, intensive toning treatment designed to be used between shampooing and conditioning your hair. I left it on for more than an hour and that’s what resulted in the hair you see in the pictures above and below. I completely loved it and there’s absolutely no commitment because all you’re using is your regular toner so it washes out leaving your hair a beautifully clean blonde.

2. The second time I used the Bleach Blonde Shampoo – link – now just a note here there are two shampoos in the range, this one and an ‘Everyday Blonde’ – use the dark purple one, it’s more intense and designed to be using every other (or even less) wash to refresh your blonde. I left this on for only half an hour while I was in the tub and got much the same results. I think the difference between the two is that the Hot Shots leave my hair extra conditioned and feeling a little silkier but colour wise they do the exact same thing – worth noting as the shampoo is considerably cheaper per ml.

IMG_2408Both methods took only one wash to remove.. I didn’t do anything special they just faded after washing normally with regular (not the Lee Stafford Bleach Blonde) shampoo. As someone who likes to play with colour and gets bored easily it’s great to know I can have a hint of colour in my hair for a few days and be back to blonde with now stress. I’ve use a lot of temporary dyes over the years and some are not as temporary as they claim, especially on bleached hair so if you’re been considering a pastel do I’d strongly suggest you give this a go. You can watch the video ‘tutorial’ of how I did this the first time herelink – and to see the before and after but it’s a quick one, really very simple!

I’d love to know if any of you have achieved this with other toners too!

Miss BB

*The Lee Stafford range was sent to me as a PR Sample but I have since purchased the shampoo & conditioner as it seriously is the best I’ve ever used.

Have you tried A Touch of Silver twice a week brightening shampoo? If so how does it compare to that? xx

I use the bleach blonde shampoo and I love it! My hair throws a lot of warmth so I can’t get it to look as lava set as you can but it definitely keeps the brassyness at bay!

I have white / Grey hair and have used Paul Mitchells Platinum blonde products in the past . Recently I tried Fudge cool blonde shampoo ,left on for 5 mins , my hair has a lovely cool violet/blue tinge . This last through a few washes . So I tend to use the fudge once per month.
