Lazy Girls Guide To Moisture

IMG_5549

Continuing yesterdays theme today I have too more oils to share with you which have already had a mention or 5 on my YouTube channel because quite frankly they’re awesome. I don’t usually shell out for Sanctuary at Boots, it’s on the higher end for me and much as I love the scent of everything fro the range I’s usually rather spend the bigger bucks on Soap & Glory – until recently. I have nothing against good old S&G and I’m sure I’ll return when their new packaging comes out and my interest reignites but I was looking to switch things up when I came across possibly the two best inventions for lazy girls like me, ever! The 2 Day Moisture Shower Oil – £7 online here – is designed to replace your regular shower gel, it foams up just as a liquid soap would so you feel like you’re getting clean but it leaves behind an oily residue which means you don’t have to apply moisturiser when you get out. But you haven’t done anything extra, how can this be? Magic! Okay, so maybe it’s not magic but it’s pretty damn awesome and who’s to say there wasn’t a little pixie dust in the lab when they came up with this? Exactly! You don’t know. The only products I’ve known to leave this don’t-need-to-moisturise residue in the past have been sugar scrubs and I don’t know if you’ve ever had to clean a bathtub after using one of those but it’s an absolute pain in the behind so they’re reserved for the specialist of pampering sessions. This is much lighter and so leaves enough moisture behind to do the job without leaving the tub slippy – and no pesky sugar crud either. The Body Moisture Spray is actually what caught my eye first as I remember having something similar to this years ago and loving it so I thought it was a pretty safe bet I’d like this too. I use this to top up the shower oil before bed and occasionally in the morning if my skin is feeling extra dry, it’s so light and hydrating I can get dressed almost immediately afterwards. This will be particularly great in Summer (what’s that? it is Summer?… you almost had me!) to give a nice sheen to suddenly bare legs which have been hiding for 9 months. I’ve since found this 4 Day Oil Spray online and I’m sure it’s not as light and takes longer to absorb but I only really use it at night anyway so I think I’ll get that one when this runs out.

What’s your body lotion routine?

I recommend you try out ”ASDA Little Angels For Mum and Baby Silky Soft Light Oil Mist 200ml”. It comes in a spray bottle too, smells lovely, and its surprisingly very good! Costs less than £1.50 which is another added bonus.

Soap and glory have a similar spray I think it’s called “girligo” and it’s a lovely moisture spray I always put on when I get out of the shower 🙂

I apply body lotion after every shower, and I splatter it on my whole body, from neck to toe 🙂 And I use a body oil too, daily.

my only advice is blog about something that doesn’t feel like work.. otherwise you will never keep it up, ideally you shouldn’t box yourself in to a category so you can just blog about whatever you want whenever you feel like it

I know what you mean about cleaning the bath after using a scrub! The S&G Breakfast Scrub leaves me rinsing and scrubbing afterward to make sure I don’t have a massive task ahead of me on the weekend! These look perfect though and might have to try them out after I use the new Nivea In Shower Body Lotion. x
