Lip Butters: Berries

6 October, 2014

IMG_2884I saved the most season appropriate (and possibly best) til last for you, here are the ‘Berries’. Some of my favourite lipstick shades regardless but especially from this line the deeper, bolder colours tend to be the best. They’re more opaque, less streaky and generally more consistent. I mentioned at the beginning of this series that one lip butter does not represent the whole range and that’s absolutely true.. if you tried Sugar Frosting for example you might not waste your time on any others. The colour that made me think again about the collection was Raspberry Pie and to this date it’s one of my favourite lip products.. especially now we’re in to Autumn.

IMG_2922IMG_2923IMG_2924IMG_2925IMG_2926IMG_2927IMG_2928IMG_2929IMG_2930IMG_2931I already mentioned Raspberry Pie.. a solid favourite but really the only one here I don’t love is Macaroon. It’s too warm, a brown/red hybrid with some shimmer and not the most flattering on me. It’s funny cause I talk about pinks being the wrong side of blue but there really is a fine line, there’s something about this one I’m just not in to. Love Red Velvet, a beautiful festive colour.. I actually got that one in Vegas before we had it in the UK but we since have a wider selection of shades. There are a few I don’t have.. Gumdrop springs to mind that we don’t get here and I’m not sure are even still made in America but this concludes a full collection and swatch fest of all UK Revlon Lip Butters. I hope it’s been useful.. look out for an overview and best/worst post soon!

Once again Lip Butters are available online here

Love these! I have had one of these lip butters before a year or so ago and it melted and squished in my bag so bad I had been put off to buy anymore. But looking at the shades of these, I am very tempted to go grab one. Love the Sugar Plum shade!!

    Great post!

I actually think Macaroon looks very nice on you! It’s probably my favourite, along with Red Velvet.

Raspberry Pie has to be the best shade out of the entire collection! What mascara are you wearing?

So tempted with Red Velvet and Raspberry Pie… both perfect shades for a/w and opaque! The sheer lip butters make me sad!

These all look so pretty on. My two fave’s has got to be the Red Velvet and Raspberry Pie. Perfect for the A/W look and they have a really nice finish to them.

I’ve been wearing berry smoothie a lot recently. Its my “easy berry” lipstick. I searched sugar plum in the shop and thought it was too dark but seeing it on you makes me want to get it. This is why lip swatches are vital.

Raspberry pie is such a gorgeous colour, I would love to get one although the texture of lip butters always slides about and I’m not so sure they’re the best product for me. Although the only one I use is Macaroon so maybe I just haven’t found the right one for me!

Love the revlon lip butters and have a collection of 14 myself! My favourites are red velvet, sugar plum and sweet tart! You definitely inspired me to grown my collection even into shades that I wasn’t that bothered by as like you I’m a compulsive collector 😉 x

Berry Smoothie is by far my favorite shade from the Revlon Lip Butters. I never knew Macaroon was a shade, but I guess I am not missing out on much. Great post and thanks for all the swatches!
