Lip Butters: The Brights

IMG_2861So here we go.. I had to start with the high impact shades didn’t I? The mammoth week of Lip Butters begins here. Over the next 5 days I will be taking you through the shade categories with more swatches than you know what to do with. I’m hoping these posts will be useful for those of you stuck between a couple of shades, there will be multiple ways to compare and stay tuned for my overall best and worst the end of the mini series as well as a review video..

IMG_2867Lollipop, Sorbet, Tutti Fruiti, Watermelon, Candy Apple

This order is constant in all photos, here are the lip/face swatches.. (what’s a ‘face swatch’?) :S

Something strange happens to my camera every once in a while and it turns me a rather fetching shade of orange.. bizarre! Secondly let’s talk favourites here.. I love a good bright lipstick but they’re not all the loveliest on every skin tone, Tutti Fruiti is one I struggle with, I’m not totally sold on this shade of orange but I think with a tan it would look amazing. My picks would probably have to be Lollipop & Sorbet, what can I say.. I’m a pink girl! Lip Butters are available online here

Which are your favourites from the brights?

I already have Candy Apple. but Sorbet looks lovely! I remember I almost bought Tutti Frutti, but looking at the swatches I am so glad I didn’t! It definitely wouldn’t have suited my skin tone, and I’d have found it very hard to wear!

I never tried out any of the Revlon butters, but I want to try it out so badly!

I love how you are able to hold the same pose in all those photos! I permanently look annoyed when being photographed hah. They all look so nice on you – problem with the bright colours I find is as soon as I open my gob and start talking, they make my teeth look really poor, I think for some shades you need a proper Hollywood veneer jobby. Am I the only one?

These look amazing – I want to get my hands on sorbet! I wish I was someone who could wear oranges, but I just can’t pull it off!

It’s funny how different colours make your skin tone look so different. I can’t get over how tanned you look in the picture with lollipop! Watermelon is my favourite on you tho, really suits you 🙂

I have both Watermelon and Candy Apple and they’re both two of my favourite shades from the collection. Perfect pinky red and apple red shades! I’ll probably start wearing them more as I won’t lie I’ve somewhat forgotten about them both over the summer. 🙂
