Lip Butters: The Pastels

IMG_2869Continuing with the Lip Butter seried today we’re looking at the pastels.. the ones I rarely (if ever) reach for and you’re about to see why. The are very pale and all kind of much of a muchness. There are differences between them but if you pick the one you want I really don’t think you need another from this selection.. they’re just too similar and at £7.99 each it’s a bit painful that I bought all 4!

IMG_2871As previously this order is constant throughout so all pictures will be either left to right or top to bottom..

Sugar Frosting, Pink Lemonade, Cupcake, Cotton Candy

IMG_2914IMG_2915IMG_2916IMG_2917IMG_2918IMG_2919IMG_2920IMG_2921I think if I had to pick one from this selection it would be Sugar Frosting, it’s so sheer but it’s not as streaky as some of the others because of that. My least favourite would be Cupcake, it’s too blue toned for me.. none of these are my favourites though.. too pale and uninteresting for my liking. Read yesterdays post on the Brights here.

Do you like/wear any of the pastel shades?

The all look a bit too frosty to me, but Cotton Candy is cute.

Pink Lemonade looked so promising, but I’m a little disappointed by the result. I definitely agree that they’re perhaps a little too pale and uninteresting, and I’m glad I didn’t impulse buy any of these. Sugar Frosting and Cotton Candy both look nice on you though 🙂

Thankfully I love the last one, which is the one I bought ages ago but haven’t really tried out yet. Loving this series btw 🙂

I know you’re not really a fan of the pastels but they do look really nice on you! Thanks for posting – I’ve enjoyed reading the whole series!

I’ve always wanted Pink Lemonade but it probably wouldn’t suit my skin tone. Plus I can never find it to buy anymore, as I’m sure it was limited edition. 🙁
