Lip Liner Love – Rimmel Eastend Snob

Rimmel Eastend Snob Lip LinerI’ve never really been in to lip liner, I’ve never found it uber necessary as other seem to and being relatively happy with the natural shape of my lips I was never really interested in it for ‘sculpting’ either. That being said I am a huge fan of the recent Kylie Jenner style 90s lip and so have been dabbling with neutral pencils and *gasp* over drawing for a little while and I’ve finally found THE ONE I think does it for me. I’d heard about this pencil on YouTube but wasn’t running out to buy it however when my friend across the pond (Marnie, check out her blog here) asked me to pick one up for our makeup swap later this month I decided to get one for myself too, all I can say is THANKS, MARNIE! I love it!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIt’s the perfect colour for me skintone, I find mid-pinks/nudes are really hit and miss against my pale complexion but this is spot on and it’s so opaque. You could wear this alone if you wanted and it would give you a plump, long wearing matte lip but I prefer to wear it as a base for something else (a particular MAC lippie I will be showing  you soon actually) as I find it a little dry on its own. I have SLIGHTLY overdrawn my lips here, I don’t think I could go for the full on trout pout or get away with even this subtle boost with a bolder colour but I do like the fuller look the liner gives me and since it’s neutral it’s pretty wearable day to day without look OTT. For those interested I hear this is a dupe for Charlotte Tibury’s Pillow Talk Lip Cheat (considerably more expensive!!) so if you’ve been thinking of trying that you might want to pick this one up first and see how you like it. Oh and one last thing.. this is the first liner I’ve had that isn’t actually a pencil (it’s a twist up, automatic doodah) and I do NOT miss that sharpener!

I’ve got this too! It’s more nude/less pink than I expected but it is nice! Mine broke though, best not to twist it up too far!

I feel you, girl. I have the same complexion, pale and really olive and I cannot say how much I want to try this lipliner to look if it suits me! Sadly, we do not have Rimmel where I live, but I will be soon going to London again and I am so excited to try all the good things I have heard of in the beauty blogging world!

I really like this lip liner. Sometimes I’ll wear only lip balm and Eastend Snob. Such a great everyday colour. 🙂 x

I’ve got this too, I really like applying it all over and then a balm over the top for a very long lasting lip (:

I love this lip pencil, I think that it may have actually been the first one that I ever purchased! The other shades in the range are equally as good and I still find myself reaching for this over my MAC ones!

Oooh this looks amazing! I’ve just bought my first lip pencil (shocker at 27) but it’s a bit too browny coloured for me, this looks like it’ll suit my skin tone a lot better xx

Love this!! I will look for it this weekend! I recently found your channel (through MsGoldGirl actually) and have been binge watching your vlogs & your beauty channel while recovering from back surgery. I love your channels! I want to be your friend across the Pond too! Haha

That looks great, not overdrawn at all. I’ve only just started getting into lip pencils at the grand age of 29 but Ive found a few good ones. Max factor do a good nudey pink one. Think it’s called pink petal.

Such a pretty lip liner color, Looks great on you !! Do you find that it glides onto your lips easily, or do you have to put some muscle work in to get pigmentation ?

I picked this up on Wednesday and since then I haven’t stopped using it. It’s so creamy and smooth to apply and lasts ages! It doesn’t feel as drying as some lip liners I own which I like.

I can see me picking up more shades in the future. 🙂
