Lipsticks From Wet’n’Wild

Todays beauty post features a throwback to my brightly coloured hair. I really wish it went with more because I loved it until it faded, so bold and with these lipsticks.. pow! I picked these up while we were in New York in January, I hear so much from my US YouTubers about Wet n Wild and these were the shades that called out to me.

 Don’t Blink Pink is not for the faint hearted, very bright indeed and a little blue toned so without the wild hair I may find it difficult to pull off but it’s still a beautiful colour all the same. The formula is very creamy, the finish is glossy, my only negative with this one is with it being a paler colour it is a TOUCH patchy and it doesn’t wear as nicely as it’s deeper counterpart below.

 Cherry Picking is MUCH more me. It reminds me of Revlons Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie which has to be one of my most worn lip products EVER. Something about this pinky red shade is somehow more ‘wearable’ to me than your average pillar box red.. I could comfortably wear this during the day with just a slick of mascara and not feel overdone yet a true red I feel should be reserved for the evening. Isn’t it strange the way we feel about colour? This isn’t a bit patchy and wears nicely however given it’s glossy finish does need retouching after eating/drinking.

 I would definitely purchase more lipsticks from this range if they were readily available to me, I know that there are reports of Wet & Wild having launched in Scotland so I’m hoping that’s a good sign and if you do see a stand I would highly recommend you pick up a lipstick, very affordable (or at least in the states they are) and great value for money.

There’s an eBay seller here if you’re interested

    I’ve seen no signs of this brand in Scotland. I’ll report back if I spot anything haha.

    Wow I love your hair! And love how opaque the colours of those lipsticks are. Do you remember how much you bought them for?

    They launched in Ireland in January (I think…this year, anyway) so maybe they’ll make it over there next!

    Oddly enough, I have these lipsticks readily available to me at nearly all drugstores and yet I only picked one up for the first time about a month ago. I wish I had sooner, because they’re amazing!

    I have a few of these lipstick’s, they’re a little bit easier to find in New Zealand but I’m sure (before I became a blogger) I found Wet n’ Wild in Poundland, it was year’s ago so maybe it was that particular Poundland or maybe they don’t stock it anymore. In 2011 Wet n’ Wild told me they released some product’s in New Look shop’s so try there. I don’t know if they’d still stock the brand in 2014.

    I’ve got Cherry Picking and it’s one of my faves. I’ve reviewed the Wet n’ Wild Lippy’s in Just Peachy and Dollhouse Pink:

    and also;

    Think Pink and Cherry Picking Lippy’s:

    I’d be more than happy to send you some more Wet n’ Wild Lippy’s Khila just tweet me @balmainbeauty or follow me on twitter and DM 🙂 Let me know which shades you’d like. Maybe we could do a little swap cause I’d like a few Soap & Glory thing’s which I can’t get here in New Zealand.

    Enjoy the weekend,

    Cherry picking looks great on you especially with youe hair. I love your hair. I like how the natural color fades into deep beautiful shades of fushia and violet. Is this something that was hard to pull of and requires a lot of upkeep?

    I live in the U.S.A. so I can easily get lots of different brands, so I feel fortunate, in that respect.
    I think I *need* “Cherry Picking” in my life! I’m looking for a dupe of Too Faced’s “Candy Cane,” and “Cherry Picking” has promise.
    Thank you for the very helpful photos!
