Living Room Snapshot

So yesterday I shared with you my itch to move my whole house around.. well today I’m a little calmer. I decided to move around my bedroom furniture to scratch that itch (for now) and once this wedding weekend is over I will be focusing on my little makeup room project. I’ve not given up on the grey but I think I may try and achieve it in my current bedroom after Christmas. Right now I have on my red check flannel bedding and it would be sad to lose the festive feel before the season even begins.. I think new start for a new year and in the meantime I will busy myself elsewhere.

For now I thought I would share with you some some snippets of my favourite room in the house, the living room.

Black frames came as a set from eBay / Ampersand and mercury Candle holder were from Debenhams / Oil Burner from The Bodyshop / Pine cone tea light holders are current season from Next / Mirrored vases were from H&M but may still be available, the cushions, metal pen holder (actually a candle holder) are also from H&M / All other bits and pieces came frmo TK Maxx at some point

The walls are grey, the furniture is white and the general colour scheme is monochrome but I’m considering adding in some pops of pink for Christmas. Because there’s so much white I always want to do a really plain tree with just silver and white baubles and a string of lights but I lost the vote last year and we went multicoloured. So in a bid to tie the rest of the room in I thought I might pick up some hot pink/lime green/purple cushions and such.. what do you think?

Really love this, it’s quite ‘american-ish’ which you dont see often in non-american homes lol if that makes sense. It really works.

Need to pick up at least one of those pine cone tea light holders from Next!

Hi.. I’ve only just started following your blog but loving it so far.
Your bits and pieces work really well together and loving the grey walls. Do you know which grey you’ve used on your walls? We’re going for grey walls in our living room once we are rid of the Anagalypta wallpaper!!

I love the blue and white vase. Everything goes together so well 🙂

Decorating the house for Christmas is always so much fun. The Christmas Next home catalogue always makes me want to completely re-do the front room!
