Look Fantastic – The Beauty Box

IMG_2537There’s a new beauty box on the block and it’s a pretty darn exciting one. As you know I’m a bit fan of beauty sites and Look Fantastic is one of my favourites for haircare and beauty brands I can’t get nearby. When they announced they would be launching their own beauty box I was really hoping that with their brand connections it would be a good one but it surpassed my expectation, colour me impressed!

IMG_2538For me a goof beauty box brings you samples of things you actually want to try. A perfume sample is all well and good but unless it’s exclusive to a store I don’t have nearby I can spritz that for free at any beauty hall.. it’s not super exciting. A sachet of firming cream that works in 4 weeks is never going to sway me if it’s a one use sample. Each of these products are generously sized so you can actually trial them and see a result before deciding whether to purchase a full size.. that is the point of a beauty box. It’s great to get a full sized product once in a while but if it’s accompanied by 15 sachets of shampoo.. not so much. Obviously this is only the first box so you never know how Look Fantastic will play this one out but if they maintain anything like this standard it will be one to watch, for sure.

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray / Caudalie Divine Oil / St Tropez Bronzing Mousse / Kerastase Shampoo & Conditioner / Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum

I’m not 100% here but I assume that this box will be like the Latest In Beauty in that you can purchase it on a box by box basis rather than a subscription service. Historically these services give a little more bang for your buck as they can take the time to edit together the best selection and limit the quantities available rather than diluting a handful of great samples with not so great ones to feed the masses who you’ve sold subscriptions to. Much as I like the monthly boxes I have these one offs tend to impress me more. The site says that the box is worth £54 which suggests that each box will be the same but unlike Latest In Beauty the items are still a mystery. One final bonus, apparently 5 random boxes include an extra 7th item worth £89.00 so providing it hasn’t already sold out (it went on sale today but you know how things go) you could be in with a chance of picking up that elusive something.. do let me know if you do!

I’m probably most excited to try the Keastase hair products as it’s a brand I’ve always wanted to try but the price out me off.. although I do worry I will fall in love with something I don’t want to keep buying. The Deep Sleep Pillow Spray has ALWAYS been on my list and for the same reason I haven’t yet taken the plunge and bought it.. again something I feel I will be addicted to once I’ve tried it so I’m putting it off, haha.

You can purchase the box online here for £15 inc P&P

I am housebound so like the perfume samples, Not too impressed with this box to be honest as I am set on my hair care and don’t feel the urge to try anything else. They are handy for travel but only have a week away once a year so lol. Now if it was make up I would be on it. :0)xxxJoolsxxx

The Beauty Box looks amazing! The products in there look pretty decently sized… I don’t think anyone likes 15 sachets of shampoo. The serum looks pretty nice.

I’ve tried to stay away from beauty boxes especially the subscription ones however the look fantastic one does look good… although looking at it October’s box is already sold out 🙁
