I’m really starting to love these matching lipstick/lip liners from LOOK. It’s such a simple idea yet barely any other brand does it in such a basic way. The liners are the creamiest, you could almost forgoe the lipstick altogether and fill your lips in with the pencil itself but then you’d miss the super hydrating wash of colour so I guess you do need both after all. At this time of year my lips are so dry I appreciate that extra layer, They’re similar to a MAC cream sheen in formula but I would say they’re more creamy.. as a result, however, they don’t last as long! Swings and roundabouts but from what I’ve tried so far I’m impressed.
When I last spoke of LOOK lipstick I believe I failed to mention the packaging, it’s magnetic.. yes! Magnetic! The lid pops on an off but you can feel a little pull that holds it in place.. I love little details like that. Another thing that I look for in a lipstick that your regular consumer may not is stackability – I might have made that word up. I have amassed a few cosmetic items over the last few years and I appreciate packaging that sits alongside each other nicely when stored and these rectangular lipsticks appeal to the collector in me.
My one bug bear with LOOK cosmetics is that they launched with a hefty price tag, they put themselves in the higher end of the drugstore category before even building a fan base. These lipsticks are £7.00 which I think is steep but they’re currently running a 3 for 2 offer so if you want 3 or there are 3 of your going in on it (why am I explaining the benefits of 3 for 2??) then it’s a more affordable time to purchase an they are very nice quality… plus 3 would stack together nicely *rushes out to Superdrug*
