I’m not normally a bold lip kinda gal but as the colder months creep in I do tend to reach for shades that will bring some colour back to my pale wintry face. This is one such colour, it is the boldest, pinkest lipstick I own and in all honesty I put it on and thought ‘there’s no way I can wear this out of the house’ but not only did I wear it out, I wore it to take Ella to school and I wore it to work! I wanted to test the staying power before I blogged my swatches so decided a work day was the best test. It lasted well in to Lunch and wasn’t until I’d chowed down on Fridays fish and chips that I had to reapply, and only then because I had a meeting and didn’t want to look anything less than polished. The finish was satiny, it applied like a cream but settled somwhere closer to matte which is what I credit for the staying power. The lipliner is amazing, it matches perfectly but the consistency is so unusual. You could probably use it as a lipstick on it’s own, very creamy and soft but a word of warning – don’t drop it on your cream carpet because it will leave a big pink dot!
Unlike the vampy dark shades that are very much ‘in’ right now bold brights will add colour to your complexion in the Winter months and this is a beautiful example of why neutral lovers like me should step out of their comfort zone once in a while and take a walk on the bright side!
In a pinch the liner alone would do, super pigmented, just add gloss!
