L’Oreal Glam Shine Balm Gloss Sin For Peach

I’ve had this since Christmas and only just broke the seal, can you believe? I got the pomegranate shade (more festive) and there was some kind of promotion on at the time that encouraged me to buy another.. this was a secondary purchase and therefor got put in a drawer unused.. until now. As you (may) know I have been in to the mid tone pink recently so I’ve been rooting around my collection looking to rediscover some old favourites and I found this beauty. I love the formula of these crayons, unlike the stains (and more recently mattes) these are tinted balms with a glossy finish. I’m not a big gloss person but they’re non sticky, easy to apply and there’s no risk of them going gloopy and weird over time since they’re formulated more like a lipstick.  IMG_9980IMG_9978

This one in particular reminds me a lot of the caresse range in the consistency, the Pomegranate had a little more colour but the sheer pink/peach is an every day shade that would be a great ‘handbag’ product. I tend to keep anything from 2 to 25 neutral lipsticks in my bag at any one time to either apply when I’ve forgotten to put something on in the morning or touch up throughout the day and this would definitely fit in to that goes-with-anything category for me.

It’s a twist up pencil (no sharpening, bonus!) and pretty much identical in packaging to every other lip crayon out there. It doesn’t last all that well but then again the finish should tip you off on that. The colour selection is good but expect to top up as often as you would a lip balm.

Available in 6 colours for £6.99 online here

Have you tried these yet? Thoughts?

I quite like these, I’ve got one called ‘Dare the Dragonfruit’ and it is a really nice colour – I love the look of this one though, it’s really pretty!

Pretty colour. Does seem a bit sheer, though. For a natural, dewy day it would be lovely.

I’m hosting a La Roche-Posay and Avéne giveaway on my blog. Check it out!
