Can we just take a moment to talk about the rose gold details on this thing?? Rose gold has made it’s way in to the drugstore make up world.. it’s an unstoppable trend and not a day goes by that I don’t question my decision to get steel over rose gold MK watch last Christmas.. lost in thought already. Back to the product at hand.. we’re talking about L’Oreal’s new Miss Candy Glosses.
There were four two choose from in my local store and although this wasn’t necessarily what I considered to be the most wearable option I’m always drawn to the bright, fun colours so Bubble Pink it was. Unfortunately as you can see above and below the bright swirl of colour you see in the tube doesn’t exactly translate on the lips, it’s more a glossy tint on me and if you have quite pigmented lips you may as well just buy a clear gloss. I mean I get that it’s more about shine than colour with these but looking online there are 12 shades available so some of them must be pigmented, right? I’m hoping that I just got a bad example, I did swatch it in store but I was in a rush and though, ahh it’ll do.
The gloss itself is not too sticky and wears well on the lips, you can rub them together without it getting bitty, it’s almost balmy and when I wiped it off my lips actually felt moisturised so the formula was surprisingly nice. If you guys have tried any others from the range and have any recommendations for me please do share, I’d quite like to give them another go ’cause I really do love the packaging.. not the best reason to buy something but there are worse.
