L’Oreal Skin Perfection

14 October, 2013

IMG_7607

I’ve had these for weeks and weeks now and can’t believe it’s taken me so long to blog about them. You may remember my talking about the Raw Skincare facial serum that I was trialling? Well I’ve been really enjoying that and my skin feels very nice having used it exclusively for the past couple of weeks in the evenings but during the day I have still been using this Skin Perfection Serum from L’Oreal. It’s absorbed easily, makes my skin feel instantly smoother and combined with the day cream makes an excellent base for my foundation – Revlon Colorstay in case you were wondering. They’re both light yet hydrating and had it not been for the Raw serum I would have said absolutely these were improving the texture and appearance of my skin but I can’t say that conclusively.

My only niggle with the Skin Perfection range is the price. Some will see this as cheaper Lancome (L’Oreal owns Lancome) skincare and think it’s a total bargain but I expect a drugstore brand to be more affordable. That being said if I was going to shell out it would probably be on L’Oreal, I used to love their Youth Code and as I get older I do feel more inclined to invest in my skin so when this is all used up I MIGHT repurchase.. Right now it’s a tough one but I will quit the other serum to see which was really making the difference before I make my decision.

Have you tried anything from this range? – From £14.99 here

I am using the serum at the moment, it is not for my age group but I loved the colour of the bottle…sad I know. I like the serum but it stinks so I will not be repurchasing.

I have been using these for a couple of months now and really feel the difference. I’ve tried cheaper similar products but this makes my skin look great and really see a difference. I love the smell and bottles look fab on my bedside table!! Definitely a re-purchase.

I’ve been using the serum, day cream, eye cream and the BB cream. Love the serum & BB cream, so much so I can see a difference when I don’t use them. I’m completely in the wrong age group (too old now apparently) but they work great for me. 🙂

I’ve been using the Skin Perfection Serum for about a month now and it’s made such a difference to my skin. I’m absolutely in love with it and although it’s expensive, it’s definitely going to be a repurchase when this ones finished!

I was also a little shocked at the price of these. They are cheaper than the higher end products, but still a little more than I’d like to pay without knowing for sure it’ll be great, you know? Nice to read a good review here though, might look out for these when I get my Boots points.

I have tried the serum daily and I have nearly finished the bottle. But im unsure what I make of it. I have noticed a difference in my skin, but Im not sure if I will be repurchasing it.

You would expect l’oreal to be cheaper but to be fair thats an ok price for a serum. Especially if like me you bought hydraluron haha.

Have been hearing good things so far but for someone like me with oily skin they seem just a touch on the rich side so would probably leave me looking too shiny! The packaging is super pretty though!

my skin is a little oily too and they work well for me.. I use the day cream as a night cream though as it would be too heavy under my makeup

Here in Holland its on sale all the time, so we pay around 10/11 euro for the serum. Keep in mind girls if you are planning a Amsterdam trip. 😉

I’ve been using the day cream for about 2 weeks now. It feels nice, but I’m not bowled over. I have combination/dry skin which is quite sensitive and I find this sometimes stings a little and doesn’t leave my skin feeling as plumped and nice as I expected. I have to say I’m not going to repurchase, because £14.99 for a cream that is just okay isn’t really for me. I would rather spend £9.99 on the Soap & Glory Wish upon a Jar which my skin loves or splurge on the Clarins Multi-Active day cream.
ORRRRR be a cheapskate and use Nivea’s Light Moisturising Day Cream, a snip at £3.99 but my skin loves it when used with L’Oreal’s Micellar Water and my favourite Korean Night cream 😀

I love these and use them both every day. I do think the price could be a bit more affordable but I got them when they had money off, so every little helps I suppose 😛
