LUSH Bubbleroon – Rose Jam

I am fast becoming obsessed with this scent and a couple of months ago I didn’t even know it existed. Rose Jam is what scents Lush’s famous Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner which I put off trying for so long expecting it to have a heavy rose scent.. not at all! I’m not in to florals but this is sweet.. like jam! The closest thing I can compare it to is the inside of strawberry filled chocolates, just seriously yummy and I’m basically collecting anything and everything that has this scent – suggestions very welcome!

I’d never tried a Bubbleroon prior to this and hadn’t previously considered myself a fan of the Bubblebars either but as I learn a little more about Lush I feel less like it’s just overpriced bath nonsense. I’m still not massive on the bath bombs, I know people cut them up and all that but they’re just a bit of a show really.. nice but very expensive if you use them in one pop and if you don’t you never get the full wow factor, do you? I’ve never been a bubble bath person so I’d not considered the Bubblebars as an alternative but you don’t need to use much at all and you get a strong scent and a slightly oily bath which is perfect if you still want to wash your hair/shave your legs etc. I do see a difference in how my skin feels after using just a little of this in my bath and for that I’d say it’s worth a little extra money if you find a scent you enjoy. You CAN get tons of bubbles if that’s what you’re in to (I do this for the kids and they go mad) if you painstainkingly crumble maybe a quarter/half of it under the tap but if you’re not into bubbles this might still be something you’d enjoy using. I previously liked the melts but they were TOO oily and you don’t get much, this is just right.

Next on my list is the Rose Jam shower gel but this has always been the one thing I didn’t want to buy from their as I thought it would just be a scent.. having still not tried it I’d love to know what you think.. are their shower gels worth the money? – Available online here

The rose jam smells like the scent you are describing. I love rose so was disappointed it didn’t smell more of it, but unless they changed the formula, it smells like jam.

Mm, I love the smell of jam! This product sounds amazing.

My favourite product is the Star Light, Star Bright bath melt that they bring out at Christmas. I love the silky soft feeling it leaves on my skin and it is SO glittery (my fave).

(I mean the rose jam shower gel obv) They also did one at Valentine’s with a similar scent, but more sweetie like. I forget its name, but it was pink. Cafe de bain do a raspberry and rose shower gel and bubble bath which may be similar? I haven’t tried that one but the vanilla Madeleine one is sweet and smells like cake so the raspberry and rose one may smell like jam. Bit cheaper than lush, Waitrose sell it and some Superdrug (it is on superdrug website).

I’ve had a couple of bottles of Lush Shower Gel but to be honest I don’t think they’re worth the money – they’re a nice gift and they smell nice, not too drying etc but nothing spectacular. I had a bottle of Snow Fairy as well last Christmas and even that scent didn’t linger on my skin afterwards, and it’s one of the strongest fragrances they do!x

I have recently purchased this bubbleroon too but have not used it yet. But yes It does smell lovely and I love the smell of rose jan shower gel too! I have used a few of Lush shower gels and I am really keen on ‘Snow Fairy’ as I find the scent is so strong, but my favourite by far is ‘It’s Raining Men’ it is really softening and foams up amazingly! Leaves your skin soft snd smelling of honey 😛 give them a try, I would recommend just the small bottles 🙂 x

I really like the Lush shampoo bars – i am using the Karma one and it smells great and leaves my hair feeling nice. I am also testing the solid conditioner bar but I am on the fence on this one as it is not that easy to use and doesn’t feel as effective as a liquid conditioner. I might try to use their liquid conditioner as the SLS and other chemicals in the normal conditioners are not too kind on my scalp…
