MAC No Faux Pas

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA total impulse purchase, bizarrely I went in for 'Faux' - featured in my Face Of The Week - and was drawn to another of  similar name, totally by chance. This was from the festive Heirloom collection so was limited edition and no longer available however from what I can see 'Girl About Town' is very similar and easier to get your hands on now. I can't tell you that I don't love the packaging because I do.. the classic MAC bullet in a glossy glitter, what's not to love? but the lipstick in it is awesome too.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMatte lipsticks have become my favourites not only because I prefer the non glossy look but because they're so much more long wearing. MAC do a retro matte line which is insanely dry and almost difficult to apply but totally budge-proof but their regular matte lipsticks are so creamy, I can't get enough of them. I wouldn't say they dry entirely matte and you can definitely smudge them if you're not careful but they're some of the most comfortable to wear.. very similar to the Revlon Matte Balms but in a HUGE variety of colours. No Faux Pas is my current go to pink, it's bright but deep enough to not be too 'pow' for daytime with just a slick of mascara on my eyes. One of the few impulse purchases I don't regret buying!
