Maybelline Age Rewind – Under Eye Brightener

I loved the concealer from this Age Rewind line so when I saw a ‘brightener’ I HAD to try it. It’s supposed to be a treatment for dark circles as well as a cosmetic but I take those claims with a pinch of salt.. if it serves its basic purpose I’m happy.. and it does. Below you can see where I might apply it however I have most often been putting this just on the inner corners of my eyes and blending it with the regular light concealer to just brighten up my usual base.

I’m really surprised at what a difference it makes but as I said I do usually add concealer under my eyes as well because although this does brighten I feel like I need extra coverage.. that’ll be the early mornings with the baby! Now I have it I’m so tempted to have a proper go at contouring, really brighten up and deepen like the celebrity makeup artists.. I’ve only JUST entered in to the world of powder contour so that may be a little ambitious but I feel like this would work. Any suggestions for a cream contour?

You can get the concealer online here for £7.99 however I’m fairly certain that the brightening colour is exclusive to the US right now, you can get it online here though if you’re desperate!

Oooh I’ve been meaning to try this looks really nice!

I use the MAC pro studio finish concealer palette to contour, I’ve heard really good things about the sleek version though..!

I have been wanting to try this for a while. It sounds great. My only hesitation is the application sponge… bacteria’s heaven!

Everyone rates Illamasqua Hollow cream pigment as a contour. Not tried it yet though

Not tried this yet, the applicator scares me for some reason! I’m slowly falling out of love with my Wake Me Up concealer though so I might give this one a try!

I’ve been using this concealer for the past 2 months and I think it’s great! It takes me seconds to conceal my under eyes and it blends so easily. Love it šŸ™‚ x
