Those of you Benefit High Beam fans will love this post as I’m about to show you an amazing dupe for a fraction of the price. I’ve never been a huge liquid highlight fan but whenever I do want that added staying power I reach for my Benefit products.. now at £19.50 it’s expensive but for how little you use, how long it lasts etc etc you can kind of justify the cost, especially if you use it as rarely as I do.. but then if you can get something for £15 less (that’s right, this is £4.50!!) that does the same (or near as damnit) thing.. that justification fades somewhere.. ESPECIALLY when you use it as rarely as I do..! I haven’t compared the two as I currently only have Benefits Moonbeam (a more golden highlight) however I would direct you to this comparison post from AThriftyMrs and her review of the two to help steer you in the right (and more cost effective) direction. Those of you on a super tight budget right now.. I mean a certain expensive holiday is just around the corner, am I right? may find yourself lost on her site for a few hours, just a warning!
What I really like about this Pearl Pink highlight is that unlike most powder variants I try it’s so subtle. It really does just give you that natural glow to your skin. You can definitely build on that and give a higher impact finish than I have in the photo above (can anyone else not see anything but the redness around my nose? I mean seriously.. it’s ALL I CAN SEE!) and if you want a really long lasting highlight layer on a powder sheen over top and you’ve got the best chance of retaining that glow all day long but as a stand alone product this is easy to use and really does help ‘Beat The Blues’ on those grey days that are becoming more frequent as the cold sets in. It’s also really lovely mixed in with a heavier foundation to give you a little sheen without having to sacrifice your matte finish/making you look oily – score!
