When I took off my jewellery last night and put it on my bedside table it struck me that I’ve been wearing the same pieces daily for a while now and it may be interesting to show you what I wear. I’m not someone who changes my jewellery often, like my handbag I tend to stick with the same thing for a few months but these pieces are really the basics that I imagine I will add to rather than replace over time.
My Watch – I got this while we were on holiday in January, I knew I wanted a Rose Gold watch and I’d had my eye on some from Michael Kors but they were all really plain and lets face it – everyone and their Mum has one. This seemed a little different and the beveled trim and roman numerals won me over. I also found out later that the model is called Lexington which seems very appropriate since that’s pretty much where I was when I bought it. – link
My Engagement Ring – I actually designed this myself and had it made. I inherited my grandmothers diamond solitaire and I based it around that and had it put in to a vintage looking setting flanked by two amethysts (my birth stone) – I absolutely love it and get questions about it frequently. Although it’s unique there are others similar including this one – link
My Wedding Ring – this was a lot more affordable, I originally had another ring similar to this but a diamond fell out of the setting and when I took it back to the jeweler they said it wasn’t a manufacturing fault and that they only replaced it was as a ‘good will gesture’ – given that it was only months old I didn’t want to run the risk of it happening again so I chose a Cubic Zirconis ring in basically the same design and you can still buy it here – link
My ‘Eternity’ Ring – This isn’t technically an actual eternity ring as we really haven’t been married long enough to warrant that (although sometimes it feels like an eternity, am I right Ladies? 😉 ) but I wanted a rose gold ring to stack with my wedding set or potentially as an alternate wedding ring. Again this wasn’t uber expensive and it just czs but I like it and think it goes nicely with the others – link
My Love Ring – This was another purchase I made on our New York trip in January, I bought it at Bloomingdales. It was rose gold plated when I bought it but within a week or two it was yellow gold.. I wore it every day but still, that’s a bit annoying. It’s very delicate so it’s not a major issue but it was disappointing. It has a very tiny diamond accent set in the band but to be honest I’d rather have paid less for that not to be there since I assume that pushed up the price a little – link
My Arrow Necklace – Lastly this is my current every day necklace, this was a gift from Lee during our trip as we were there to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday as well as it being just ahead of Valentines Day. It’s from Tiffany and I absolutely love it, again very delicate and really does go with everything. I even layer my larger, statement necklaces over the top – mainly because I know if I take the little one off I’ll never remember to put it back on again – link
I usually leave all of my jewellery on all of the time (which I know some of you will find strange) but if I’m tanning I remove it hence the novelty I found in the picture above.
