MUA – Artiste Collection

I have to say I didn’t like the look of this when I opened up the parcel. The whole speckled shadow thing looked a bit cheap (sorry MUA) but the swatches were so good I quickly forgave the appearance. From the eyeshadows to the cheek colours the quality here is parallel with the Undressed palette (the best they’ve produced so far in my opinion). The blushes, highlight and bronzer are all so good it really is a shame that the shadows aren’t my favourites or this would be the ultimate travel palette for me. It’s so slimline if only all 6 shades were neutral.. but I guess there’s little fun in that, huh?

Overall I’m really impressed and I didn’t expect to be, The shadows do need primer to stay put but even my more expensive ones do these days so I can’t complain. I’m actually so enamored of the bottom row I’m considering a DIY depott to put them in my Unii Palette with a range of neutral shadows to get more use out of them.

Still undecided whether to get this, picked it up but restrained myself and put it back. Might get it when they do their 35% off offer. Swatches do look good x

I have to agree, I thought it looked really cheap at first. I’m not quite sure of the point of the speckles to be honest. I purchased it after seeing some swatches on the MUA FB page. The biggest let down for me is the blue. I haven’t worn baby blue eyeshadow since I was about 12 haha. Great blog post as always. Loving the new hair too!

Not a bad palette, I also like the blushes and the highlighter is nice too. If you’re on the fence, and there are other thing’s you’re interested in buying from MUA, the artiste palette is currently FREE when you spend £6 online 🙂
