MUA Colour Blast

I’ve had these for a while but put off reviewing them because I just couldn’t decide if they were great or terrible. Crayon lip products I can get on board with but I’ve been yet to find an eye crayon I liked so when I got these and didn’t hate them I was skeptical. Upon first application they’re not to greasy feeling, give nice colour payoff and blend well with minimal streaking – great. I mentioned them in a video and almost every response I got back said how awful they were.. I was confused. Obviously products work differently for different people and often people compare brands like MUA to those tens of pounds more expensive which I don’t think is entirely fair.. so I persevered. I kept wearing them and was really liking them until I realised how badly they creased. Because I blended them out the colours were sheer so I just hadn’t noticed until I was scrutinising the wear and such after hearing some not so positive reviews.. now I could see where they were coming from.

I don’t always wear a primer and for me the whole point of a cream product is that it’s quick and easy so I wasn’t giving it a chance to stay put. When I wear the crayons over my current favourite primer from Helen E – link – they don’t budge. Other than the wear issue I have nothing bad to say about the Colour Blast crayons from MUA and providing you’re prepared to wear a good primer I’d recommend you give them a go.

Every eye primer I’ve used with them has worked to make them stay, which is good. I know why people are against them but I do like them, the added step of a primer isn’t ideal but they’re still nice and easy to use despite that 🙂 I’m a fan even if lots aren’t lol

This is something that I would like to try.

Wow, I’m surprised it’s had such bad reviews. Now I have to go google them; I was just about to write a positive review on my blog. I really like them, and they don’t crease on me.

If you can find them try the LA Colours jumbo eye crayons I think that’s what’s there called, they don’t crease, there non-greasy and there so pigmented!

I completely agree with you, they might not compare to the eye Chubby Sticks but they’re a tiny fraction of the price so what do people expect. I bought one of these the other week and I find if I just use it for a crease colour over a powder on my lid then it works great and I’m loving it so far

I got one from them and the colour is so pretty! But haven’t tried wearing it yet so creasing hasn’t been something I’ve noticed. Lip crayons are my favourite though.

I no how you feel on the crayon theme I have yet to find a good eye crayon. Recently I have been eyeing up the newish Barry M ones but I splurged a whooping £1 (yes I tiny £1) on a crayon that I actually quite like. I got it in Boyes a few weeks back by the brand LA colours. Its not got the best pigmentation at first so you need quite a lot but when you do it looks amazing ( I have gold) and I love it!!

I don’t see creasing as a big issue with these. You can always just re-blend them with your finger or chuck it in your bag and touch it up and you don’t have to mess around with brushes.

I wish I could like eye crayons but I just can’t get past the feeling of drawing on my eyeball 🙁
