MUA Intense Glitter Liner – Starry Night

I bought this because I was looking for a black liner from MUA for my upcoming ‘one brand tutorial’ and there were none left… so glittery black it was. I already had a blue but I wanted something a little less crazy for more of an every day look and this is actually very nice. The glitter is subtle but especially for a night out when you may want a little something different it definitely adds a party element. It is the blackest black which for the money is seriously impressive and although it’s not as smudgeproof as some of my more expensive liners it’s not bad at all and I’d definitely recommend you give it a go. The colour liners are also really impressive so you can’t go wrong with any you might want to try in my opinion.

Another nice feature is the pencil sharpener in the lid (not pictured) which is just handy when you can’t just put your hand on your sharpener or even better when you’re traveling or keeping it in your bag for touch ups.. it’s self contained maintenance.. perfect.

My only negative to note would be that with the other liner I have from MUA I have experienced some splintering and during a tutorial I was filming I had something irritating my eye only to discover it was a splinter from the pencil. That’s a bit scary when you consider that it’s designed for your EYES. So with this in mind though I wouldn’t say don’t use them (because I think they’re really great) I would say avoid your waterline if you can. I generally ONLY line my waterline so that kind of sucks but in the interested of a responsible review I can’t recommend you do it.. or if you do don’t blame me 😉

Oh that’s not great about the splinter! Could it be the sharper that comes with it isn’t great – maybe a better quality sharpener might be a bit sharper and might not lead to splinters. It’s a shame otherwise, as you don’t want to risk tiny shards of wood getting into your eyeballs!

That’s just the right amount of sparkle but it does sound a bit dangerous, I’m not sure I’d want to take the risk!
