Well hello there! I hope you’re all having a fabulous Wednesday! I could get used to this spontaneous blogging but sadly next week I am back to work *sob* so usually scheduling shall resume. Anywho, I want to introduce you all to my new favourite foundation.. I bought it last week and haven’t reached for anything since. We all know MUA make some great products but I must admit I wasn’t expecting much from this, I assumed it would be too dark, cakey and gone by lunch but it was actually really impressive and given that I got it on offer for just £3 I couldn’t be more smug.
The colour was a great match for my pale skin, it blended like an absolute dream and the finish was semi-matte but did seem to ‘illuminate’ somehow. It’s also said to have light diffusing particles but as you can see from the above swatches if they’re present they’re not obvious in the least so don’t let that put you off. The most impressive thing was perhaps the longevity, it seriously lasted all day long and I really wear my foundation. I apply it at around 8am, don’t get to work (which I walk to) until 10, am in the gym at 2 and then not home until 6.30 so it’s a long day and I never truly expect anything to last til home time so when something as affordable as this does I want to shout it from the rooftops! It didn’t look powdery on the skin or cake at all and it required just a light dusting of powder to set and mattify, I didn’t touch up once, this might just be the ultimate foundation.. and not just from the drugstore. I would absolutely recommend you give it a go, the only real issue is the limited shade range, if you’re much paler than me or much darker than medium tan you’re going to struggle.
If you want to see how the foundation applied and lasted throughout the day (including a gym session) watch the video below..
Available online here and in Superdrug stores for £5 but I got mine on offer for £3 so look out for the frequent deals!
