My MAC Palette

IMG_9907

This is one of two palettes but the way I use them is to have one main selection (above) which I switch colours in an out of from the other if I want a different look or I’m not using something much. In that palette I have a few blue shades and more neutrals but the colours I’m showing you today are what I consider to be a good selection. I could do with a deeper green but during the Autumn Winter I’m using a lot of these plum/berry tones so it’s perfect for right now.

Top Row – Dazzlelight / Naked Lunch / Satin Taupe / ABC Gum (actually from Urban Decay) / Swiss Chocolate Screen Shot 2013-11-26 at 13.43.28

Middle Row – Cranberry / B-Rich / Mulch / Tete-a-tint / EspressoScreen Shot 2013-11-26 at 13.45.50

Bottom Row – Nocturnelle / Trax / Sumptuous Olive / Wedge / Carbon

I’ve organised my palette into colours and finishes.. the six on the right are all matte (my favourites) I have a bottom left hand quad of berry colours and then an L of neutral with a wild card green. It works for me but I could definitely switch out some of them for a bit of variety when I want to. I’m not sure I need Espresso AND Swiss Chocolate at the same time, I rarely use Dazzlelight so Naked Lunch could serve as my only highlight easily and B-Rich is a nice warm brown but while I have Cranberry to mix in.. do I need it?

I’m planning on using my MAC shadows more now I have an outlet to talk to you guys about them (my new YouTube channel) so I will follow up with my absolute favourites in the next few months but for now.. what are yours?

I really love this palette and the variety of colours. There are so many mix and match looks you could create with this selection, from nude to smokey evening eyes. Can’t wait to see what you do with it on your You Tube channel.

I love MAC shadows, they are my constant favorite by MAC and their lippies.

I’ve always wanted to create a Mac palette but I think in the grand scheme of things it ends up being soooooo expensive, I love yours though!

Love the top row of colours.
Autumn colours are my all time favourite choice of shades to use on my eyes. I never am a fan of colour on my skin such as, blush, coloured eyeshadow and bright lipsticks. I don’t think they particularly suit me.
Dark browns however really bring out blue eyes so I was told, so I tried it out, and it really does!

I use those colours every week, I am a little obsessed with MAC browns, they have so many and I love them all!! I want to try cranberry, a hard shade to work with but it looks so lovely in the pan.
