My Pink Dip Dye

I am just a little bit in love with my new hair. Just a few days ago I said I was planning to stay very blonde for the next few months until my hair was a little longer when I intended to start the low lights and growing out my natural colour. The reason for this is that I feel the short cut I have right now needs something a bit ‘different’ to keep it interesting, blonde was more interesting than my natural mousey blonde/brown. At the weekend I decided to have a go at my roots as the’re always my bug bear with highlights, you never really get rid of them. Unfortunately I had no idea how powerful the colour I was using would be and I was left with pretty much white hair.. not a good look on me. I decided to just bring things ahead a little and go for the darker shade now rather than later but to keep that interesting aspect I picked up a semi permanent pink dye from the brand Directions. The shade is flamingo pink, I put it in my lengths/ends while I was in the bath, no mirror – I had no idea how vibrant it would be. this result is after only 5 minutes on my hair so I’m nervous as to how long lasting it will be but i do really love the effect.. for now. The overall blonde shade is L’Oreal Preference Honey Blonde, it’s closer to my real colour but I will still see roots so eventually I’d like to go darker with streaks of this tone as it definitely flatters my skin tone more than the ash blonde shades. I always shy away from warmer colours but maybe they suite me more? I’m interesting to see what this looks like after a few washes but if you want to see my hair dye journey you can watch my weekend vlogs below as well as my hair ‘reveal’ that I uploaded to my beauty channel today.

‘Til next time.. Have fun with your hair!

Miss BB

That looks so good! I really wanted to try dip dye too but I was worried it would damage my hair. I got these instead – dip dye hair extensions They’re available at Hairtrade.com and there’s some gorgeous colours. I got the turquoise one! Kate x
