I received this MUA polish in the post on Friday and absolutely loved the colour. It’s a gorgeous lavender/cornflower blue that was reminiscent of something but I couldn’t put my finger on what.. until I applied it. It’s not an exact dupe but c’mon.. how similar are these two? Way back when I worked for Urban Decay they had certain rules and one of them at the time was that if you wore colour on your nails it had to be purple. As a result of this rule I amassed a rather large collection of purple polish (would you like to see a purple polish post?) and another happy coincidence is that the concession opposite mine was Nails Inc! I think you can see where I’m going here but this was my polish of choice for about 3 months so I know it well and absolutely love it.. but it’s pricey! Granted it has lasted me as I’ve had it for 2 years and it’s still going strong but we don’t all (or always) have £11 to drop on a single nail colour do we? So when I tried this MUA shade in Frozen Yogurt (love that they’re naming them now btw) I couldn’t wait to share it as a cheaper alternative. I’ll admit the formula isn’t as nice and the brush on my bottle was unfortunately mashed up but for £1 MUA nail polish is good value. I have almost all of them and used to use them regularly before my collection grew and I suddenly had a great deal of choice but I would definitely revisit them and if I’m looking for a colour I don’t think I’ll wear all the time I would look to them first. By comparison the MUA took about 3 coats where the Nails Inc can quite seriously be done at 1 and some may say the cheaper option is a false economy but if you’re looking to amass a vast nail colour wardrobe they are very good compared to other drugstore polishes.
