Naked 2 vs Undress Me Too

The long awaited sequel to my Naked/Undress Me palettes review is finally being written.. I put this off for so long because the first was so popular I didn’t want this to be a dud but.. it kind of is. I was so impressed by the Undress Me palette, the pigmentation was so good and although it’s still nowhere near as good as the Urban Decay version the quality was great for the price.. this isn’t quite so awesome. For those who missed it you can see the first post here, I think you’ll agree it’s definitely the superior of the two MUA dupes.

Some of the shimmery/metallic shades are very nice but for the most part they just don’t compare. As I mention in the video I would suggest you choose 4 individual shadows from MUA that match closest to your favourites in this palette rather than buying the whole set. In general the singles are definitely higher quality and I for one would rather have a couple of good ones rather than a hit and miss palette like this.

Left – Naked 2 Palette / Right – MUA Undress Me Too Palette

All that aside swatches don’t tell the full story, I will have to put them to work to give you a full review and I intend to soon. The original appears to be phenomenal in swatches but it doesn’t translate quite as well on my eyes.. so we’ll see. I love my Urban Decay shadows and am happy to pay the premium for something I know will last me a long time but for those looking to save a buck.. save it elsewhere, buy the original or maybe look to Sleek for an alternative.

I got undress me too because I already had the original naked palette and I didn’t want to spend that much money again. But I’ll admit, if I ever see it on sale for like a tenner off I’ll have it lol.

I just bought the Naked palette (not Naked 2) so after spending quite a lot of money on it I decided to buy the MUA palette instead of the Naked 2 palette but now I think I will wait for my bank balance to magically grow and I will buy the Urban Decay palette, not the dupe 😉 Thanks for posting this! xx

I’m not sure how much I’ll use this as I don’t really wear eyeshadow yet so I just bought the MUA version given the free shipping. I was surprised to read this blog post cause it seemed less positive than your video maybe because you had more time to reflect on it. For so cheap I will give it a try and see if I think it is worth investing, and it was a fun way for me to test out some MUA products 🙂 I also bought a single eyeshadow in matte from them since it seems to be better than the matte shadows in this palette.

I’ve tried the Undress Me Too palette – in fact it was one of the first palettes I even bought. Last week, though, Debenhams was offering the Naked palette for £30, so I bought it and oh my, it’s the best palette ever. I find the shadows to be even better quality than my MAC ones. The MUA palette seemed sufficient – the shadows are well-pigmented and stay on surprisingly long for the price, but they simply don’t compare!
