Naked Flushed – Streak

IMG_2044I’ve had this for a while and the reason I’ve put off reviewing it is that much as I love the concept and I was hoping I’d use it lots I really haven’t. There are multiple shades available so I can’t speak for them all but the selection here are all too similar in colour and there’s so little definition between them.

IMG_2042IMG_2049The bronzer is too golden (and in spite of the description saying it’s matte it’s definitely not) so you can’t use it to contour and how many people go for a warm bronzer, golden highlight AND a peachy blush all at the same time? Individually they’re VERY nice and can’t be faulted for formula, pigmentation and blendabilty (so not a word) however for me if you’re going to put together a trio of cheek products they need to stand out from each other enough that you can wear them all at once. Whenever I try I end up looking orange and glittery, I accept that this may be at least 50% user error and that they may look AMAZING on a darker skin tone however I really wish I’d chosen a cooler selection. In hindsight (as scary as that blush may look) I think I would have preferred ‘Native’.

Available online here for £22 (and I never use it, ouch) each

Have you tried any of the Flushed palettes?

I have Native and when it arrived I totally thought I’d made the wrong choice. I just wasn’t into the blush – it just looked like it would go horribly with the other two powders and make me look like a clown, but actually all three powders work well together. I always wished I’d picked up Streak instead, but now, seeing your swatches I’m glad I didn’t – you’re right, it’s too samey and on my pale skin it would look like the worst applied fake tan/shimmer ever I think!

I have this palette and I find that it makes me look too made up if I use all 3 together. I find I can use any combo of 2 and it looks fine, but add a 3rd and it just looks weird. It’s a shame because I thought buying this would save me money as I have 3 products, but I can’t use them all together, so it wasn’t worth the money.

Hi, I had the same impression while looking at the photos. I wanted to buy the palette, but somehow choosing individual shades works better in making sure you’re going to USE them. At least the NARS quality is still present. Thanks for the review.

The highlighter looks absolutely beautiful! I wish I could afford this palette, but my student budget doesn’t stretch that far sadly!

I think these colours look great by themselves but you are right they would look horrific together especially on pale skin! Maybe some of these could be used as eyeshadows? you could get quite the golden goddess look with them.

I have this palette in NAKED, and I find the bronzer to be quite alright for my skin tone. The blush is quite nice too, but it can make me look too flushed sometimes. I haven’t really touched the highlighter because I found it to be way too much!

I have to agree with you here. The bronzer has never seen the word matte, it looks just as shimmery as the highlighter. I think it would make a lovely eye shadow, along with the highlight but I couldn’t imagine myself using them anywhere else. I do like the blush though and I think it would look lovely if used with a light hand. I get the impression that this palette would suit a much darker skin tone to be honest. Lovely review though xxx

I have a medium to dark skin tone and I love the blush colour. The bronzer has a slight shimmer when I applied it but not too much but colour wise it’s a little too light for my skin tone and the highlighter is a little to scary for me to apply on my face as I find that waaaaaay too shimmery. Although I do wish they bring out more of these palettes but with better less shimmery colours that compliment multiple ski tones.
