When we planned our Christmas day trip to London back in October I was looking forward to not just the lights but a visit to the Muji store! Coming home on the train with paper bags filled with pointy, acrylic storage is not ideal but we don’t have a store nearby and the shipping is pretty pricey so I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity. I already had 2 wide 2 drawer units which I loved but I wanted more and while I was there I spied a drawer organiser which has ‘nail polish rack written all over it.. needless to say I am very happy with my new set up!
I will do a follow up post about how I’ve organised the drawers and what is in them all if you’d like but I just wanted to show you how I’m using the storage. You may know I have a whole room dedicated to my beauty bits and bobs but for various reasons it’s become apparent that my bedroom would be a better area for me to get ready every day so partly because of this and partly because I wanted to display my beautiful new acrylic wares I have moved a small portion of my makeup in there and luckily my husband doesn’t seem to have minded too much. The acrylic drawers can be found online here for £10.95, the one’s I have are wide but you can purchase a narrower version and they now have the 5 drawer set back in stock that was a massively popular alternative to the massively expensive clear cube unit made famous by The Kardashians. I think you get more for your money with these 2 drawer units, however, and they have little ridges and rubber on the base so they stack together nicely and don’t slip.
The drawer organiser doesn’t appear to be online but it was around £13 and came with 6 extra seperators which I removed, you can just make out the ridges in the shelves where they were. It’s a little deep for nail polish really but you could stack them 2 deep I guess, I will leave it as is. Although it’s not the ideal dimensions it’s the best I’ve seen in the UK for the price and i will be purchasing more for sure.
You can watch the video I made about my new storage units below..
You can find your closest store here but I believe that Selfridges also have concessions so I will be looking for Muji next time I visit The Trafford Centre!
