New-trals vs Neutrals

The new palette from Makeup Revolution is a little bit exciting! I don't blog about all (or even many) of them but I feel like they've really done something different with New-trals. I could quite happily sit in this current 90s trend forever thanks to the Jenner sister we all love to hate and this selection just screams grungy, smudgy eyes but with a 2015 twist. Marsala might have been our colour of the year but aside from lipsticks and maybe nails I couldn't see myself wearing anything in that colour family until now. Burnt oranges and deep plums will blend beautifully with the neutrals, yes we probably have dupes for already but it's nice that they're all settled in one place. I'm not sure I'd be confident enough to wear a bold 'new-tral' eye without my bronze safety net just yet and it definitely makes the whole palette a little less daunting while introducing some seasonal colour options to otherwise potentially samey shades.

As always the textures are for the most part creamy/metallic/nicely pigmented for the price point but they are hit and miss. The misses will still be put to use as transitional/blending colours however and it's not great loss among an otherwise excellent selection. So for those of you out there thinking you didn't need ANOTHER neutral palette I'm guessing MUR have challenged your resolve!
